Greenpacket, P1 (Packet One Networks), and Sequans are teaming up for developing LTE (Long Term Evolution) solutions, according to a July 21, 2011 press release by Sequans. Through the cooperation with Sequans, Greenpacket is projected to develop LTE and dual-mode WiMAX((Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access)/LTE reference designs, aiming to launch 4G networking solutions and devices by the end of 2011. P1 first rolled out its WiMAX service in Malaysia in August 2008, and the company is now planning to enable WiMAX/LTE coexistence and preparing to start LTE transition in 2013.
